the path to a new home

Polina and Andrei were forced to left Belarus in connection with the criminal prosecution and trial for participating in one of the peaceful protests in 2020, where people were dancing in a circle in the middle of one of the streets in the city of Brest. Polina was 8 months pregnant when she and her husband illegally crossed the border through the forest and swamps. The children, Vanya and Nicoletta, were sent along with their grandparents by bus. After some time, the whole family found a temporary refuge in Warsaw, where Polina gave birth to a daughter, Vera, and where they found their new home, new job and a new life, which they have to start over.
